Question 1

How do I ship goods through Lion Cargo Logistik from Soekarno-Hatta Airport?

Accepted Answer

You can bring your goods directly to the airport cargo terminal (Port-to-Port service) or use our package pickup service (Door-to-Door) by contacting our marketing team via WhatsApp. Make sure the goods have been weighed and packed securely before handing them over.

Question 2

How long does air cargo shipping take?

Accepted Answer

For most destination cities in Indonesia (such as Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and even Papua), the estimated delivery time is 1 to 3 days from the aircraft's departure, depending on the airline's direct flight schedule.

Question 3

What documents are required to ship cargo?

Accepted Answer

The main required documents are a copy / photo of the sender's original ID card (KTP), an active phone number for the recipient, and a complete destination address. For large-scale commercial shipments, a sales invoice and a packing list are required.

Question 4

Can I ship pets (live animals) such as dogs or cats?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Shipping pets requires an official Animal Health Certificate (SKKH) from a veterinarian or the local quarantine office, as well as a special crate that meets IATA flight standards (with ventilation and a water container).

Question 5

What goods are prohibited (Dangerous Goods) from being shipped by plane?

Accepted Answer

Prohibited goods include explosives, toxic chemicals, pressurized gas, flammable liquids (without special permits), firearms, and high-value items such as cash or gold bars without special cargo insurance.

Question 6

How do I calculate the volumetric weight of light but bulky goods?

Accepted Answer

For air cargo, weight is calculated using the formula L x W x H (in cm) divided by 6,000 (for air freight). If the volumetric result is greater than the digital scale (actual) weight, the rate is calculated based on the volumetric weight.

Question 7

When must cargo shipping fees be paid?

Accepted Answer

Payment is made upfront during the weighing process and the issuance of the Air Waybill (SMU) at the cargo terminal, or via official bank transfer for corporate customers with an existing partnership.

Question 8

Is there a minimum shipping weight (Minimum Charge)?

Accepted Answer

Yes, air cargo has a minimum chargeable weight of 10 kg. Packages with an actual weight below 10 kg are still charged at the 10 kg minimum air cargo rate.

Question 9

Does Lion Cargo provide wooden crating and wrapping services at the terminal?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we provide flight-standard wooden crating, multi-layer bubble wrap, and security labels directly at the Soekarno-Hatta cargo terminal before the goods go through the X-Ray.
